Popularity of Aqueduct Stakes NEW YORK, N. Y., May 12.— The nine flat stakes to be renewed a£ Aqueduct June 8 to June 27 will aggregate 2,500 in added money, an increase of 0,000 over last year. They closed with a total of 551 nominations, as against 501 for the same stakes in 1941. The Brooklyn Handicap has been boosted from 5,000 to 0,-000, while the Dwyer, formerly endowed with 0,000, has been raised to 5,000.
