VALDINA ADVICE, lightly reserved while following along in near attendance of the pace, held to a position on the outside, responded camely to hard riding and was along in the closing seventy yards to wear down PLAYFIELDS. The latter displaved the most speed, met early contention from CASTLERIDGE and, while shaking off this threat, was unable to cope with the bid of the winner. CASTLERIDGE had speed from the start and, while holding on well, was no match for the first two. ROYAL LUPE closed a good gap after being outrun early. DENNIS F.. away slowlv, made up much ground. OPPORTUNITY went evenly throughout. SEAMAN tired after going a half mile. VALDINA ADVICE brok* part of her equipment at the post and this caused a delay. NOT YET was rated along in Hose attendance of the pace for the first half mile, moved up determinedly when reaching the stretch and, obtaining a short lead, held on tenaciously in the closing drive. FLYING BONNY raced forwardly placed throughout, went wide entering the stretch and held on with good energy in the final test. RED MEADOW moved un steadily through the back stretch and fought it out gamely in the last three-sixeenths. FRONTIER JANE had speed from the start, met stout contention from WELL READ, disposed ot her and. kept under pressure, tired in the closing stages. PAPER PLATE made up some ground. SOUTHERN JANE loomed up menacingly on the inside as the leaders went wide on the stretch turn, only to drop back in the last sixteenth. Overweight —Scarcity. 2 pounds. CHALARA went to the front in the initial sixteenth, met stubborn early resistance from TWOTIMER and m increasing her advantage slowly at the end. TWOTIMER forced the pace of the winner, moved up threateningly on the inside approaching the stretch, but was yielding ground under punishment through the last eighth. VALDINA ROCKET quickest to begin, raced forwurdlv throughout, but was no match for the first two. MOKANANNE raced evenly throughout BUZZIE JR. was unable to enter serious contention. MARION COLLINS, avoiding the earlv pace, began moving up in the last fne-sixteenths and, going to the front in the stretch, drew clear in the last eighth. TIN PAN ALLEY, awav slowly, moved up nearing the stretch and. after being brought to the outside, closed willingly. SACK had speed from the start and. much used disputing the pace with TIME OWAR, faltered throueh the last three sixteenths. TIME OWAR displayed good speed for the first half mile, but tired slightly thereafter. BALMY SPRING, well placed early, was unable to keep up. OFF SHORE lacked speed and trailed almost throughout. TRIPLANE, permitted to drop back in the run through the back stretch, was brought to the outside in the stretch and, responding gamely, was along in the closing strides. ALLERGIC, on the outside rounding the first turn and moving to the front, held on willingly in the stretch and just failed to hold on long enough. ORENCO outran his field to the first turn, drew clear and, losing command to ALLERGIC, moved up briefly on the inside in the •tretch but was unable to close any ground thereafter. HASTE ON moved up nearing the far turn, but was unable to make up any ground in the last five-sixteenths. EIGHT ROLLS was unable to threaten. HIGH ARCH trailed f SEVENTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. LA TORA was brought to the outside when reaching the back stretch, moved up gradually, wore down DRIVING POWER to gain a slight advantage nearing the stretch and. kept under pressure, was clear at the end. MULTITUDE dropped back after rounding the far turn, saved ground into the stretch and, closing willingly, outlasted MOBCAP, but was unable to reach the leaders. MOBCAP worked her way up gradually and closed gamely in the stretch. DRIVING POWER, prominent throughout, disposed of TETRATOWN for the lead and. steadied along under slight reserve, tired slightly through the closing quarter. FLYING DUKE, pinched back In the openine sixteenth and forced to take up sharply, trailed until nearing the far turn, moved up ateadily in the last three-eighths and, wearing down the leaders midway of the stretch, drew «ut. RICHESTAN. a trailer early, came with a rush on the outside in the stretch. INACTIVE went prominently placed throughout and was along in the last stride to gain a dead heat with FRANCO SAXON. The latter, steadied alone back of the pace, gained a short lead nearing the atretch and, meeting stout opposition from GENERAL PLANET, was unable to meet the bids of the first two and just lasted to obtain a dead heat for third. GENERAL PLANET moved up stoutly after leaving the back strotch and gained a short lead in the stretch, tiring through the last sixteenth. ALARMING tired after showing early speed.
