DOGPATCH, outrun and saving ground in the first half, was steered to llie extreme outside entering the stretch and. responding to brisk urging, wore down the leaders and was up in the last sixteenth. TOMLUTA, steadied until reaching the final quarter, came between horses for the drive and closed determinedly under punishment. MARKSMAN, slow to reach his best stride, worked his way up steadily to the stretch, came to the inside for the drive and finished strongly, eiving a sharp elfort. BOLD CHANCE, much used engaging CANT LOSE in the first halt, took command when the latter gave way. but failed to retain his advantage under good handling. BALL PLAYER, on the outside throughout, could not threaten. GALLEE was done after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. GUSHER began slowlv t ANT LOSE went to the front at the start, set the pace to the final quarter under pressure from BOLD CHANCE and then quit badly. Overweight — Gusher. 1 pound. MABE MONDAY, a keen factor from the start, but on the outside, came stoutlv when hard urged in the stretch and, alter disposing of VALDINA PINCH, just lasted to withstand HASTY KAY. The latter saved ground when outrun in the first half mile, came out slightly for the drive and closed with a rush, jast missing. VALDINA PUNCH went to the front approaching the stretch, held a short lead an eighth from the finish, but faltered during the late stages. GOOD DAUGHTER had a rough trip. DARBY DONHE could not menace under good handling. NIGHT CRAWLER began slowly and was always outrun. SUPREMES BEST showed early speed. Overweight — Hasty Kay. 2 pounds. SEVENTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. COSSACK POST, much used racing with PINK GAL in the first three-quarters, tired during the stretch run. CALS PET could not threaten when put to punishment during the drive. BOOT AND SPUR had brief early speed. PINK GAL went to the front early, was leading when she bore out approaching the stretch and lost all chance. TRAUMELUS was always outrun. SLY TOM went to the front early, set the pace to the final eighth under occasional urging, but was not good enough for the winner. EL TOREADOR, outrun early, finished stion-l in a sharp effort. GET GOOD could not keep up alter the cpening quarter. MY PORTER, on the outside throughout, bore out badly entering the stretch, losing all chanie. GOOD PLAY was done after the half. BRUTUS began slowly and trailed the entire trip, pulling up sore. Claimed — Sly Tom by Al Wellman for ,250.
