New England Notes SUFFOLK DOWNS. Boston Mass., June 26. Dan Ragone visited Suffolk Downs over the week-end, arriving from Mount Royal. His interests at Suffolk Downs are in soliciting riders and horses for the Quebec circuit. P. O. Anderson has taken over the riding engagements of apprentice T. Coucci. Anderson formerly had Marco Penas book, the latter having departed for Chicago. Entries for the ,500 Myles Standish Stakes for two-year-olds closed Saturday, with the outstanding colts and geldings in local training already named for the five furlongs. Dave Harrison purchased Boris N. from Sol Rutchick at private sale. Jockey Rocco Sisto will leave for Garden State Park after the racing of July 5 to resume riding at the New eJrsey track. John Swisher, secretary to the Jockey Guild, is an arrival for a short stay. While at Suffolk Downs he is making arrangements to send jockey A. Garry to a New-York sanitorium for observation and treatment. Good Lawyer has been removed from the schooling list and his entry may again be accepted. Racing secretary Charles J. McLennan today released his condition book covering the opening days of the coming meeting at Garden State Park, N. J. The session gets under way July 7. Jockey Charles Stevenson is still limping from lacerations suffered at the gate in a recent race. The rider plans to return to the saddle within a few days. Robert E. Lee, Exhibitor. Fly Gent. Smilin Jack and Canters Best, the property of the Pinehurst Stable, have been bedded down at the local track. Trainer Jack Carter has shipped Fire at Will and Broadhead to Mrs. M. B. Goffs farm in Lexington, Ky. R. Robertson sold Best Suit to Dee Packer. A Canadian campaign is planned S for the three -year -old.
