j ! Blue Peters First Winner By Special Correspondent. NEWMARKET, England. — Blue Peter, the 1939 Two Thousand Guineas and Derby Stakes hero, sired his first winner when his owner-breeder, Lord Roseberys Blue Cap easily won the five-furlong Foxton Stakes at the Newmarket Craven meeting. Blue Cap is out of Bonnet, by the 1931 St. Leger Stakes winner, Sandwich, out of that grand mare. Bongrace, dam of the smart Ribbon. Blue Cap is lop-eared and plain, but she has beautiful action an devidently a heart of steel, judging by the way she finished "up the hill" on the Newmarket July course.
