Bag-ley, who trains a public stable, has Jois, In the Night, Scotch Bread, Doctor Jeep, Sister Lang, Another Night, Keenan, Kiev Lace, 1 Tacoma, Patsy T., Snow Apple, He Man, Migration, Nancy Fly, Sunny Ceres, Night Before and Nostradamus. Starting Monday, May 1, scratch time at 1 Sportsmans Park will be 7:45 a. m. and at j Hawthorne 7:30 a. m. R. P. McAuliffe takes • the entries at Hawthorne and W. J. Shelley j and R. Stubbs handle the entry box at Sportsmans Park. Feature race for the second Saturday of the meeting will be the Western Avenue for three -year-olds and upward at seven furlongs. The purse will be ,500 and declarations must be made before 10 a. m. . next Friday. | L. D. Glasser has purchased the five-! year-old Bottom Step from John Sanders. Bottom Step is a full brother of the good handicap runner, Boysy, ard will race for the account of Karl Mayer. J. M. Nugent of the Myrtle Maroon Stable registered a number of horses, including Letter V, Liberty Flash, Red Pet, Miss Omega, Brigade Colors, Phils Pet and the two-year-old Young Geordie. Frank Miller, son of Ben Miller, track superintendent at Hawthorne, departed for Indian Gap, Pa., where he is a member of the armed forces. Benny Creech reports that his wife, Mrs. A. M. Creech has purchased half interest in the good runner Bright Willie from Mrs. R. Mcllvain. W. L. Hoag was an arrival from Louis -3 ville with Might Step, Valnor and Tip Your Hat for J. Barrett and Rockwood Jean for F. Newman. The well-known trainer, Paul Kelley, was an arrival from Florida to take over his horses. Th eracers have been stabled at the track for some time. A couple of California -breds of which much is expected are Super Justice and Bar Willow. Both are products of southern California ranches. Jockey Eddie Franklin, who is known as an excellent half-mile rider, is back again this season. He has a large following at Sportsmans Park. Miss Pat Kay, who is also an experienced trainer as well as an owner, brought Coley Bay and Corrour from Miami, Fla. Trainer Leonard Wilson was an arrival from Kansas City, Mo., for the meeting. He trains for Mrs. G. H. Emick. Monte Weil was an arrival from Louis - ville with Valdina Gino and Valdina Seer, whom he purchased from Henry Knight. Trainer Tom Marshall received Blenweed : and Victory Lady from Narragansett. They are owned by Charles F. Martin. Jockey C. Beasy was an arrival from 1 Oaklawn Park and will do the riding for [the stable of Roy Selden, veteran turfman. .
