Brownie, Doublrab to Face t Woolford Speedster; Three Other Features Dot Card JAMAICA. L. I.. N. Y.. April 28— The Metropolitan Jockey Club is offering three attractive features on Jamaicas week-end program, plus a juvenile dash in which Victor Emanuels Forum, a highly regarded colt, who won his only Hialeah start in sparkling time, is named in the overnight entries. The headliner of the afternoon is the i ,000 Jamaica Handicap at six furlongs, which is down for its 13th running. The secondary features are the Enfilade Handicap for fillies and mares at a mile and one-sixteenth and the Canarsie Handicap for class "C" horses at six furlongs. A fourth handicap on the program is the Kew Gardens, for class "D runners at a mile and a sixteenth, which is the nightcap. Press box veterans believe that four handicaps on a seven-race program constitutes something of an American record, though as many stakes have been offered on a single card, some, however, being un-| der allowance or weight-for-age conditions. Incidentally, all four of these handicaps were originally listed in the condition book. Harvard Square Dangerous The Jamaica has drawn a nimble field of eight, headed by Woolford Farms Sig-jnator. who will pack 119 pounds. The erratic bearer of the maroon jacket with the white dots concedes one pound to the former sprint champion, Mrs. T. Christophers Doublrab. Allen T. Simmons Harvard Square, Mrs. Beatrice DiGiorgios Mettlesome and Joe W. Browns Brownie get 114 each. Longchamps Farms Baby Dumpling will carry 110 pounds; William Ziegler, Jr.s, Breezing Home has 108. while the lightweight of the party is W. Macks Dartaway with 106. Continued clear weather will put the stakes mark in serious danger, for Signator has won at this meeting in t :11ft and it would be no surprise were he to better that time tomorrow- if he is in a running mood. Signator looms the probable choice for the Jamaica with Brownie and Breezing Home his principal rivals. The Enfilade Handicap has drawn a small, but classy field of five, the three-• year-old Plucky Maud being the only one rjof the original half dozen to decline the issue after publication of the weights. The Enfilade is headed by the Isadore Bieber entry of Moon Maiden and Night Glow, with 126 and 123 pounds, respectively. Moon Maiden has been beaten in photo finishes in her last two starts here, succumbing to Alex Barth and then to Everget after thrilling stretch battles. Night Glow I has won three straight at this meeting, the first two with ridiculous ease, then was seriously extended by Flak on Monday. The I ! duo are sure to be heavily favored, and i I either one would be the choice should only one carry the Bieber silks. C. T. Chenerys Anthemion and J. Small-woods What Not get in the Enfilade with | I 122 and 118 pounds, respectively, and are j by no means out of the picture. Anthemion j won the Gazelle Stakes at Aqueduct last j year and four overnight races. She faltered j in her only start here as though short and should improve. No less than 18 have been entered for j the Canarsie, which promises to be a mad j scramble. The field includes the recent winners, Bill Sickle and Terse, with 117 and 106, respectively; the Louis B. Mayer pair of Miss Barbara, 111, and Samaritan, 110; the shifty Blue Serge, 117; Salto. 114, and others too numerous to mention. Mettlesome will be top weight under 122 if he goes instead of in the Jamaica.
