UP FRONT dropped back when in close quarters around the far turn, but continued strongly next to the rail, found an opening in the last eighth and drew out to an easy win. CRACKS was well up from the start and bested DORATHY A. The latter got to the front early, showed the most speed, but tired near the finish. EDGAR B. was in close quarters in the stretch. GENIES MATE was in the middle of the track to the stretch and had little chance. GOLDEN HARVEST was also forced to race wide. STAR .THORNE tired. Scratched Needles Eye, 120. The latter, a trailer in the early part, came very fast in the middle of the track through the stretch and would have won in a few more strides. ST. JOCK was outrun early, but finished well. HELEN AGNES was well up throughout. PAIRLET was forced to take up in the early running, then came strongly on the outside in the stretch. KEEP FLYING tired. GOOSEBERRY was outrun to the stretch, then came strongly to best the others and worked out a full mile in 1:40. FLOAT AWAY had the most, early speed, but weakened "in the last eighth. IBEX was unable to keep up and never threatened seriously. VIOLA WISE raced well up throughout. SHORT LIFE ran a good half mile. OKABENA was badly outrun. WEST-HO, saved ground while moving up and went well to. the end, although in close quarters in the final strides. BURNING CHIPS tired in the stretch. THREE SANDS made up some ground. QUEEN ECHO was in close quarters while tiring in the stretch. WOODSMAN had early speed. JUNGLE MOON refused tp break with the field, but raced some distance back throughout.
