OKAPI LANCER responded to urging in the stretch run, wore down BUD GREY "and drew away. The latter was rushed into command, showed speed while saving ground and then quit. SEAL ROCK was sluggish in- the early stages, came to the outside and finished with a rush. MR. PHARNED was bothered rounding the far turn, but came again while bearing out. MORE WINE finished well. ROMANOCK tired badly. VALDINA CRAFT was as good as left when the gate failed to open and money wagered on that horse was refunded. Scratched 60090 Super Marines, 110; 61012 Respire, 110. ARRIVE ON TIME was taken in hand in the early running, moved up fast on the outside entering the final half, assumed command going to the final fence and drew away. DUCKER jumped well, was well up all the way and held on to the end. BAR SHIP showed a good effort throughout and had no mishaps. GALA REIGH made a determined bid after taking the sixth hurdle and then tired. ABIDALE had no mishaps. COME ELEVEN tired badly. ATOM SMASHER bobbled at the final hurdle and unseated rider on the fiat. PENNY PACKER was rank in the early running and fell at the fourth hurdle. LOCH NESS was taken under restraint when outrun, came through on the inside and outfinished STING PAL. The latter, in near pursuit of the pace, had no mishaps. AMES was sent up on theinside rounding the stretch turn, responded when urged and finished well under impeding. FLYING DOUG was sent into command with a rush, showed speed and then tired. FAISEUR was taken under restraint when outrun, but closed fast between horses through the final eighth. RAVENALA could not keep up. TEX MARTIN dropped back after the start and was never a factor thereafter. A claim of foul was lodged against the winner for bearing out which was allowed. Scratched 60914 Faro Queen, 102.
