Ohio Notes RANDALL PARK, North Randall, O., May 23. W. F. Fontaine, former jockey, shipped in with three horses from Churchill Downs. He is conditioning them for the Wildwood Stable and they include Gun Flak, Bit-O-Sweet and High Peak, who has already been nominated for Saturdays Tudor Arms Handicap. C. H. Lamparter, owner and trainer of his own string, arrived from Laurel yesterday. Six that he has on the grounds are Royal Fleet, Darglo, Just Great, Electron, Through Train and Copperette. Ted Dickerson, who rode here before the war, is presently recuperating at Crile General Hospital from wounds received in action. James McCoy, representative of the Jockeys Guild here, was his visitor yesterday and reports that in no time, Ted will be as good as new. J. Caldwell, trainer for the Wolverine Stable, has three horses on the grounds ready for campaigning. They are King Victory, Edie Jane and Misty Eye. Norris Royden, steward here, announced that Mrs. Royden arrived from California last night. Jockey W. "Peanuts" McCadden, in a spill aboard Betty Bane in yesterdays second race, was sent to the hospital and promptly discharged late yesterday. Early examination showed possible rib injuries, but X-Rays disclosed no inquiries. Bill Hudson, father of the sensational football and track star Al Hudson, of the University of Miami, reports that Al is to compete in an "89-yard Hudson Special." This dash was filled into the meet to commemorate the sensational 89-yard run of Als during the final minutes of the Orange Bowl game, which cinched the game for the University of Miami.
