Illinois Notes LINCOLN FIELDS, at Hawthorne, Cicero, 111., May 23. The horse Leida and Ridge Gate, owned by Ben Finke, of Milwaukee, arrived from Churchill Downs under the care of trainer Gene Smith. The plater Brave Thru was purchased by L. N. Willey from W. H. Bishop at private terms. Trainer Clyde Troutt took over the good performer, Huri Horn Hari, for L. M. Severson after the seven-year-old finished second to Nancy Fly in yesterdays third race. Trainer Charles F. Driscoll took the platers Charex, Winnebago, Grand Love, Blue Snow and Singer Hill to Fairmount Park. Alec Heffernan and Frana Cara left for Omaha, where they will serve as steward and patrol judge, respectively, during the Ak-Sar-Ben meeting. J. Lustgarten sold the plater Rebbina to W. T. Beezley and Bell Call to C. W. Tague at private terms. Both horses will be campaigned at Omaha. C. E. Nicholas bought Nostradamus from the River Divide Farm and Brown Mask from O. R. Vanasky and departed for Omaha. In the same car as these horses were Lucky Illinois, who was purchased by W. F. Peacock from H. C. Hoffman. Chester Hall brought in six horses from Churchill Downs for Augustus and Nahm. He has seven others quartered at the Downs track and they will be brought here at a latter date. Tommy Root arrived at Arlington Park today with a carload of horses from Churchill Downs.
