DOVE ONIGHT took command as KEE-HO began to weaken, rallied to repel GREAT CARDS challenge in midstretch, but held on resolutely and, regaining the lead, withstood JUDGE SALES threat. The latter, outrun early, lost ground entering the stretch and drifted toward the inside while closing well. GREAT CARD, under a strong hold to the stretch, bore out when making his bid and weakened atfer getting to the front. SEA LOG showed a good effort. ROYAL EMPRESS raced wide from the beginning, was forced to lose additional ground as RHODYS GAL carried her out when entering the stretch, took command quickly when clear and was ridden out. RHODYS GAL had speed from the beginning, bore out when entering the stretch and weakened when straightened out. CARLASUE, eased back when in close quarters approaching the turn and slow to respond when clear, closed well. MISS APROPOS was racing close up when she was forced very wide entering the stretch, then rallied feebly when clear before weakening. OMANETTE had speed, but weakened badly in the last quarter. FAIRY FOOT had speed from the beginning, drew away under energetic riding approaching the last furlong and was not endangered thereafter. FIGHTING LEE, a sharp factor from the beginning, held on well. SWEET REWARD had speed, came out slightly in the stretch and gave way slowly in the last three-sixteenths. PLAY GATO, going in fine form and raced wide, sprinted into a wide lead after reaching the stretch and had something left. VALDINA BRIGHT, steadied to the stretch, moved strongly while being forced wide and outstayed GAL ANN. The latter, well up from the start and also required to lose ground, held on gamely. KAMPS REWARD came with a rush after reaching the last three-sixteenths. SOME BID had speed and drifted out when failing to keep up in the stretch. SILVER MILE weakened badly. LADY ELI showed little. SAND STORM, away well and having speed, held a forward position under restraint while on the outside to the stretch, took command quickly, veered to the inside entering the last furlong and won handily. CHESTY had speed and drew clear on the stretch turn, but failed to hold the winner, yet held on well. FREE SPEECH went prominently, hung for a brief time after reaching the stretch, but was racing well at the end. TAKE WING, far back to the stretch where he came out, closed boldly. DIDEROD, away poorly, showed a fine effort. PRIVATE JOE dropped out of contention on the stretch turn. CREDENTIALS showed early speed. AGRARIAN SON began in a tangle. Scratched— 984283 Bosage, 103. TAWNY LADY raced with good speed, was in hand for a half and disposed of LEGISLATOR, but did not menace the winner. LEGISLATOR raced wide and, showing speed from the outset, began to weaken after reaching the last three-sixteenths. CHAPEL BELLS dropped back when racing on the inside on the turn and was unable to improve her position thereafter. K. DORKO was outrun. Overweight— Chapel Bells, 3 pounds. WALLFLOWER slowly increased her advantage while making the early pace under a snug hold, veered out entering the stretch and continued to swerve while maintaining good speed thereafter. WHOSE, in hand early, started to the outside after reaching the stretch, but cut to the inside entering the last eighth, where he failed to keep up. MAXIEKIN, outrun from the start, closed well through the last three-sixteenths. MIGHTY LUCKY weakened in the late stages. LETTER V rallied mildly before beginning to falter. REPLICATION worked his way up on the outside and, closing determinedly, was slowly getting to the winner. MORDECAI, in hand to the stretch turn, did not respond to light urging and weakened in the late stages. DARBY DISMAY held on well. TETRADAN gave way fast when entering the stretch.
