BELLCLAPPER, under steadying restraint while following the pace for the first mile, saved ground while rallying and won under intermittent pressure. HIBERNIAN was always in contention and held on gamely. RED SCOUT rallied well to take command in the early stretch and was unable to last. QUICK LICK, always prominent, moved through on the inside entering the stretch, but was not good enough. MASTERDOM rallied to the stretch and faltered. TIMOTI was through early. BONRIDGE showed good early speed and tired. GAY VENTURE was through after a mile. MATAKOM was in close quarters early and lost rider. Overweight— Quick Lick, 11 pounds; Bonridge, 2.
