INSOLATE worked his way forward steadily, assumed command entering the stretch and drew clear without need of urging. JEANREE, slow to begin and outrun to the final quarter, came between horses during the drive and finished strongly. GALLOPING SUN, a sharp factor from the beginning, bore out badly on the final turn and closed stoutly when straightened for the drive. BEL MIER began slowly. SWESTEEL gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. COUNT GOLD was done early. BACKSLAP had a rough trip. RBPRINT made the pace while engaging GALLOPING SUN to the stretch, then gave way. HEPCAT had brief speed. LUTIE BOLO could not keep up. ALL BUSINESS improved her position while racing on the extreme outside, responded readily when ridden out through the stretch and, after disposing of WATCH SONNY, won going away. WATCH SONNY, never far back, reached the lead when settled in the stretch, but was unable to withstand the winner, although easily best of the others. MASKED DOROTHY went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch while engaging VINITA DOT, then weakened. DEVILROLE could not better his position when set down in the drive. JOSEPH JR. was outrun. EVER BLUE was never dangerous. BETTER PAY tired. SNOOKY FOX showed nothing. VINITA DOT quit after forcing the pace to the stretch. CLOUD BATTLE was done after a half mile. BABY EMALEE dwelt at the start, losing all chance. VOYAGEUR, never far back, responded radily when shaken up entering the stretch and, disposing of SERENE ONE, won going away. SERENE ONE assumed command early, made the pace until near the finish, then was unable to hold the winner. DEVILS MUSIC raced evenly without mishap. PRIME MINISTER lacked early speed. HAPPY PAT was never dangerous. FANNIE MAC held on well to the last furlong, then suffered interference in the stretch and lost all chance IRISH SALUTE began fast, but could not keep up. RIO RITA broke alertly and failed to stay. PLAY WISE had to be taken up sharply in the stretch to avoid OWEN C. The latter struck FANNIE MACS heels while nearing the sixteenth pole and fell. LITTLE NAOMI, on the outside throughout, held on willingly in a good effort. MISS TIGRESS made a good bid entering the stretch, then faltered. SAFE GIFT was outrun. GOLDEN WOMAN failed to stay after racing prominently to the stretch. BETWEEN ACTS lacked early speed. MON SPEED gave way after engaging COUNTESS IN to the stretch. HADOYOU was done early. BALHEIM, away slowly and in hand while saving ground to the stretch, came to the outside for the drive and, responding to brisk handling, wore down the leaders during the last sixteenth. JETT-JETT saved ground while racing nearest MATTY M. to the final furlong and reached the lead between calls near the finish, but could not withstand the winner. MATTY M. assumed command at once and made the pace under good rating, but could not retain his advantage, faltering during the late stages. JITSA could not better her position under good handling. MISS MILITANT, outrun early, was sent to the extreme outside approaching the stretch, took command and gamely withstood a long drive to best UNCHALLENGED. The latter went to the front early, disposed of HEARTH MOUSE after going a half mile and held on gamely, but could not withstand the winner. BILLY ROLFE, on the inside throughout, raced evenly. HEARTH MOUSE gave way after engaging UNCHALLENGED to the stretch. CASTLEMAN was outrun. GOMEL had early speed. FLY OUT was never dangerous. DID PLAY could not keep up. ALUM0NT swerved to the inside at the start, bumped RED SKIPPER, who then bothered BORDER VOLUBLE, then assumed command and easily increased his advantage, despite bearing in badly during the stretch run. SPRING DUN, slow to begin and outrun early, came out for the drive, but could not threaten the winner. JUDGE SALES could not better his position when set down in the drive. BORDER VOLUBLE, impeded at the first turn, recovered and held on well to the stretch before tiring. BIDDY BARTON gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. RED SKIPPER had a rough trip.
