Italian Horses Fly to U. S. A. NEWARK, N. J., May 17.— Italys top three-year-old and money-winning champion of last year, Gladiolo, was due here late today on a Seaboard and Western Airlines plane in the first race-horse shipment ever flown here from that country. A. V. Norden, vice-president of the airline, announced. The horses are en route to the stables of Rex C. Ellsworth, West Coast breeder. Accompanying Gladiolo are Ter-raro, Teramo and Certe.
