GRAND RUSH was under stout restraint within reach of the leaders, moved up readily when called upon entering the stretch and disposed of ALAN F., then held SPOON BREAD safe. The latter, slow as usual early while trailing, moved around on the outside quickly and closed with a rush. ALAN F. raced with the pace, took command on the far turn, disposed of GOOD MESSAGE and held on stubbornly. BIG HOPE raced evenly and forwardly, but was unable to improve his position. ALAMEIN did not respond when called upon and pulled up slightly lame. GUY H0TTEL was not dangerous ALLDEPENDS made a stout bid on the final turn, then flattened out. GOOD MESSAGE quit after showing early speed. Overweight— Grand Rush, 1 pound; Guy Hottel, 2J. Attendance, 10,070; Total Mutuel Pool, 86,970. Returned to Public, 97,664, Less Breakage.
