Randall Management, Farriers And HBPA to Discuss Awards RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, May 17. — In an effort to iron out demands of the local blacksmiths union for payment of bonuses by the track management, a representative of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association is due to arrive here Monday from Boston and confer with officers of the Randall Park Racing Association. Inc., operators of the track, horsemen and farriers. John G. Masoni, executive secretary of the track organization, stated today, "Were waiting for a national officer of the HBPA to come here for the meeting Monday." The demand for a 5 award to be paid to the shoer of each winning horse at the meeting came in spite of the statement in the book of racing conditions that no bonuses would be paid. This decision was made in keeping with the Code of Standards, as adopted by the Thoroughbred Racing Association, outlawing such awards.
