JESTING FOX was steadied closest to the pace of BENEVA, took command readily on the final turn and drew out in the stretch, but had to be kept under pressure to the end. WOODVALE QUEEN lacked early speed, improved her position gradually and closed fast in the stretch, but was drifting out badly. SWIFT TOWN, a forward factor from the beginning, weakened right at the end. LARKMEAD JANE, very slow to settle in best stride, made up some ground in the stretch. ROSEMERE SIS was unable to engage the leaders. BENEVA was hustled to the front and steadied there, but quit. UP FRONT was outrun.
