Proposed Three-Horse Match Race Unlikely to Materialize BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 17. — The reaction of trainers of King Ranchs Assault, Calumet Farms Armed and Mrs. Ethel D. Jacobs Stymie to the invitation by the Atlantic City Racing Association that they meet in the three-cornered match for 0,000 indicated today that the chances of the race taking place are extremely remote. Max Hirsch says that he is willing to have Assault meet any mans horse at any time, but one of the conditions of the race is that all three must start. Trainer Jimmie Jones said that while Armed would probably be ready for a race by June 7, he would hardly be up to a race as severe as this promises to be. Trainer Hirsch Jacobs said that Stymie would stay in New York, as he does not ship well, and added there was no point in his racing against Armed and Assault at weight for age when he would receive weight from them in equally valuable handicaps here.
