Stewards Fine Owner Ness WOODBINE PARK, Toronto, Ont., June 1. — Owner-trainer D. Ness was fined 5 today for instructing his jockey, F. Dodge, rider of Mr. Jeep, who finished second, to make a frivolous claim of foul against the winner of the second race, Royal Trainee, ridden by Jockey G. Thompson. Dodge admitted his horse was not bothered at any time of the race by the winner but nevertheless Mr. Ness insisted upon him claiming foul.
