War Admiral Has Six Offspring Eligibles to Preakness Stakes PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md.. May 3.— War Admiral, winner of the 1937 edition of the Preakness Stakes, leads the list of sires in number of candidates for the 1950 running of that mile and three-sixteenths event for three-year-olds, set for Saturday, May 20. Seven sons of War Admiral are among the 75 eligibles to this years Preakness, giving the Glen- Riddle Farm stallion a margin of one over Bull Lea, who has six of his get in the race. Mahmoud, with five, and Heliopolis, with four, are other top sires in the list. Six winners of the Preakness are among the 44 sires represented on the group of eligibles to the Preakness. In addition to War Admiral, they are Whirlaway, Pensive, Bimelech, Bold Venture" and Alsab. i
