ANNS FOX moved up fast after the start, raced GAY HUNTER into defeat after entering the stretch, then held BROWN SMOKE safe. The latter, never far back and well ridden, responded readily when, set down in the drive and was getting to the winner. THE GINK was in close quarters at the upper turn then raced well when clear. FIGHTING BACK lacked early speed, but closed resolutely when sent to the outside for the stretch run. ARIS BRIG, on the outside throughout, was never dangerous. GAY HUNTER engaged the leaders to the final furlong, then weakened. CASH MONEY was outrun. THE TROUBADOR raced wide. CHOW LINE disliked the muddy going and tired badly during the final quarter. MY MOM began fast, saved ground while racing within striking distance of the leader to the stretch, was kept to the inside and, responding to strong handling, wore down AMERICAN PLAN, then held BLUE MUSIC .safe. The latter, away sluggishly, raced evenly to the stretch, drifted out during the drive and could not overtake the winner. LADY MISS held on well in a good effort and had no mishap. AMERICAN PLAN went into command soon after the start, made the pace to the final furlong, then faltered. COPPERSTONE was outrun. CLEVELANDER failed to make up appreciable ground when hard ridden through the final furlong. BEL KING made up some ground late. EVANSTEP raced wide. PREFER TROUTT was a keen factor from the outset, finished willingly under urging, but could not reach the winner. REIGHS GIRL, far back early, was sent to the outside approaching the stretch and closed well under brisk urging. LUCKY AL went into command at the start, made the pace until inside the stretch, then faltered. HOD CARRIER was never dangerous. MR.
