ETERNAL POP went to the front at once, drew out nearing the last turn and was never threatened thereafter. DANS CHANCE moved up on the outside nearing the stretch turn, then went very wide, bore in after entering the stretch and swerved during the late stages. THOMAS EDWARD showed fair form in the going and was always well placed. SAM H. was going well at the finish. EXTINGUISHER dashed up on the outside from a rather slow beginning, saved ground on the stretch turn when the early leaders went wide and won under pressure. PODNER alternated with ALGIE in making the pace, then raced very wide on the stretch turn and carried the latter out with him, but came again when straightened and was pressing the winner, then, was disqualified for interfering with ALGIE and placed last. The latter showed good speed in the going and might have been the winner but for being forced to the outside fence by PODNER on the turn. FRENCHTOWN was never far back and saved ground in the stretch run. EVAS TOY was going well at the finish. PRECEDER closed a gap late. MAGIC MOMENT was in tight quarters on the far turn and was never a threat. CORNISH KNIGHT turned in a dull effort. Won driving; second and third the same. - FANBOROUGH dashed up on the outside soon after the start and, after racing close to ODD SHOT to the last furlong, took command and won under hard urging. JJDD SHOT went into a good lead early and raced well throughout, but was not good enough to last, although having the advantage of being on the inside. SHEILAS REWARD, racing as if easily best, drew away from FREE AND EQUAL when ready to widen on his company in the stretch and won with speed to spare. EROSION, a slow beginner, was a trailer for half the distance, but came strongly under urging in the final auarter to catch TEDDIES IMP near the end. TEDDIES IMP raced steadily in a creditable effort. PROMPTNESS •also went evenly and finished well. OILOMACY was never a contender. ALL ACES improved his position in the last quarter and had no trouble holding second place safe. KINGS SPUR came steadily through the stretch. WATCH UNION was never a contender in a weak race. The latter saved ground early to hold a forward position, but dropped back gradually in the last furlong. DRIFTING MAID trailed early, then closed some ground and finished well. OFF AT 4:23 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. HIYA-SAILOR broke, well, but soon dropped many lengths back of the leaders and raced in a rear position for a half, then began a strong move that carried him to the front on the stretch turn, but he was forced to stand a hard drive near the finish to hold ISPAHAN. The latter was allowed to dropfar out of it in the first six furlongs, lost much ground when making his move, but came strongly on the extreme outside in the stretch and was gaining slowly. BROWN MOAT went along evenly and had more stamina than the others at the end. COYOTE got through next to the rail after leaving the backstretch to draw, into a short lead, but tired in the run home. ETERNAL DAY threatened rounding the stretch turn, but was unable to menace the winner and was tiring at the finish. ST. GEORGE made up some ground. QUAKER closed a gap. JHANSI had early speed.
