Ellsworth Gets KTBAAward At Derby Trainers Dinner DinnerCHURCHILL CHURCHILL DOWNS Louisville KyM May 2 The annual Derby trainers dinner sponsored by the Kentucky Breeders Association was a sell out affair on the roof garden of the Brown Hotel last night In addition to the usual interviews of trainers conducted by Bill Corum president of Churchill Downs the breeders presented owner Rex C Ellsworth of California the award to Iron Reward as the brood ¬ mare of the year yearWathen Wathen Knebelkamp acting for the breeders made the presentation to Ellsworth In addition to the 1955 Derby winner Swaps Iron Reward is the dam of the stakes winner Like Magic It was the first time a Cali ¬ fornia mare has ever been so honored by the Kentucky Breeders
