Scouts Stage Exposition Under Belmont Grandstand ELMONT, L. I., N. Y., May 5.— Over the past week-end, 2,000 members of District 5, Queens Council of the Boy Scouts of America staged a two-day "scouting in action" exposition under the grandstand at Belmont Park as the guests of the New York Racing Association Inc. The boys came from nine communities in Eastern Queens and Western Nassau County. Despite the rainy week-end, some 8,000 visitors were on hand to look over sixty exhibits prepared by the boys and then-leaders and to watch Indian dancers and other demonstrations of scouting. The exposition was under the direction of Leland Bassett. district scout executive, from Springfield Gardens, Queens.
