Rapid Goose, a good winner in Chicago as a three-year-old last season, recently set a new track record at Rockingham Park with a 2:05.2 mile. The Herman Graham Stock Farm stable shipped to Rosecroft Raceway in Maryland where the outfits stars Sea Rover, Goose Win, Miss Scotbet, Colbirish and Spen Vic are extensively staked. The stable will return- to Chicago for the Sportsmans Park session. Wally Mcll-murray shipped his stable to Hazel Park while Jule Louise left with his horses for Painesville, Ohio. Howard Beissinger, for several seasons the leading driver at Chicago area harness meets, up to last Friday had won three races out of 21 starts at Roosevelt Raceway. Scotchlite. Scottstown, Sunny Byrd, and Torpid for the 5,000 Pacing Classic to guarantee sport of the highest caliber for Chicagoland harness fans. The Suburban Downs Trotting Classic, endowed with a total purse distribution of 5,000, will bring the nations fastest trotters to Chicago this fall as Abbeyup, Colbirish, Charming Barbara, Colonel Hill. Darn Safe, Demon Rum, Guy K. Protector, Jean Laird, Lady Brookwood, Ladys First, Lord Steward, Lumber Boy. Major Hoot. Medal Scotch, Paul Jackson, Pronto Boy. Rexall Boy, Steamin Demon, Su Mac Lad, Terrence Hanover and Trader Horn have been entered for the rich event. For the Suburban ,Downs colt stakes the nations leading Grand Circuit stables have named their best sophomore representatives while the Trans America Series will bring the nations fastest four- and five-year-old pacers to the popular westside oval.
