I Rita Captures Beamonte • Special to Daily Racing Form MADRID, Spain, May 5 Reuters. — Jose Gandarias* French-bred filly, Rita, on Sunday captured the Beamonte Stakes .Spanish Oaks by three lengths. Formerly named Solipene, Rita was the favorite for the 1 1-4 miles event, which netted her ,600. She was registering her third triumph in as many tries this year. Taranta was third in the field of 14. Rita was ridden by the Frenchman, Claude Carudel.
