Won driving. DUDES BELLE headed the field on the backstretch, then drew out in the stretch while saving ground and was hustled along to the end. ROYAL FLYER was in xlose .quarters right after the start and was required to ease, then came very fast on the outside in the stretch and was gaining. MR. MINX lacked for racing room when hemmed on the inside early and failed to find an opening until the last furlong was reached, .then finished well. PAP DUNCAN was going gamely at the end. TRUSTER raced wide all the way but managed to cling to a fair advantage until ISSY HAM threatened. CROSS PLAINS had no excuse, being closest to the leader early and saving ground. LIME ROCK scon sprinted to a good lead and although losing some ground in the Stretch, lasted to win under urging. LIL FRANKIE was closest to the lead most of the way and was in slightly close quarters after entering the stretch. His rider claimed foul against the winner but the claim was not allowed. HANSUM saved ground in the stretch to finish well. RITE BOLD closed some ground. ONE TWO broke well but was unable to keep up. ACT FAST was shut off around the far turn and forced to take up sharply. CAPITOL ACE went to the front at once and, well rated, withstood the early challenges from WACO GIRL and ROYAL HAVEN and had enough left to hold HELLO RITA. The latter moved well on the outside around the stretch turn and was gaining gradually at the finish. WACO GIRL, closest to the leader most of the way, made several attempts to get to the front but was not strong enough. ROYAL HAVEN went well for six furlongs and then began to tire. PRINCE GALA headed ADMIRAL VAN after entering the backstretch and, drawing out nearing the far turn, was never in serious danger *of losing the leadership, although hustled along to the end. TWILIGHT RUN responded gamely to hard urging in the stretch and finished well. CAMELBACK was rather badly outrun to the stretch and then came strongly. FLAMING BLUE was headed by GOLDEN HUE after going a quarter, but moved up to the latter again after racing a. short distance and, taking a narrow advantage on the outside after entering the stretch, won under vigorous hand urging. GOLDEN HUE has speed from the start and held on exceptionally well after being headed. WARTESIA came to the outside in the stretch to finish with good courage. HIGH AUTHORITY raced evenly, but failed to threaten for the leadership. BROTHER JOSS passed weakening horses in the stretch. YOUR HEALTH had good speed to the last furlong and then began to -weaken. AIR OUT moved up around the far turn but weakened in the stretch. NOSTREBOR was off poorly.
