Agent Stays at Wheeling WHEELING DOWNS, Wheeling. W. Va.. May 5. — When jockey Francisco Saumell departed Saturday night to report to trainer Frank H. Merrill Jr„ at Fort Erie, Juan Gonzalez, agent for the Cuban saddle-smith since he- first rode in this country, did not accompany the rider to Canada. Gonzalez elected to remain here and took over the booking of mounts for Nick Fernicola who has won with approximately half of his accepted mounts at this track.
