Jacobs Promised Land has been assigned topweight of 126 pounds for Saturdays Tunning of the 5,000 added Dixie Handicap, 1 3-8 miles turf course event. In assigning the post of honor to the Palestinian four-year-old, racing secretary and handicapper Charles J. McLennan placed him two. pounds over, Alfred G. Vanderbilts Find, who gets in under 124 pounds. Promised Land accounted for the 00,-000 San Juan Capistrano over the grass in his California finale, then came back to win the JohilB. Campbell Memorial Handicap, another hundredrgrander, over Bowies main track. Find, winner of four stakes events in 1957, finished in the runner-up position behind Promised Land in the Campbell. Next in line among the 34 Dixie nominees is Nelson B. Hunts Master Boing, winner of the 1956 Washington, D.: C, International at Laurel. He was assigned 122 pounds. He is rated two pounds over Brookmeade Stables Oligarchy and Louis Rowans Spinney, each" of whom has a package of 120 pounds. Oligarchy Widener Winner Oligarchys major triumph this season was in the 00,000 Widener which was followed by a game victory in the Laurel Handicap. He has displayed a fondness for the grass in the past, having finished second behind Jabneh in; the 1957 renewal of the Hialeah Turf Handicap. Grouped at 118 pounds are Mrs. J. R. H.
