Warren Wells to Miss Derby CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville. Ky., May 1. — Representative Warren Wells, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, missed the 1950 renewal of the Blue Grass Stakes and he will be unable to occupy his usual box here this year for the running of the Kentucky Derby. Wells hasnt missed a spring trip to the Blue Grass JState and his favorite sport for several years, but an illness that recently hospitalized him forced the cancelation of his annual visit.
