ALL IN READINESS AT FORT ERIE. Buffalo. N. Y.. July 3. Racing across the river at Fort Erie begins Monday afternoon with an attractive program, of which the Canadian Derby is the centerpiece. Thirteen three-year-olds have been named to start and so far as is known, all are in good condition and to be sent to the post. Local interest Is lively and the running of the Derby is sure to be witnessed by a large attendance from this side as well as by a big Canadian contingent. If the horses were at equal weights. Olambala would certainly be a hot favorite, but so many of the candidates have such big weight concessions under the conditions of the race, that it now appears an open affair. The track and its buildings are in prime condition and new stables of nearly 100 stalls have been erected, but when the Hamilton horses arrive there will probably be a lack of stable room for a number.
