FANCY PRICES FOR ENGLISH YEARLINGS. London. Eng., Julv 3. The yearling auctions at Tattersalls the past week have been characterized by sensational bidding. On one day nine yearlings bred by the late Sir Daniel Cooper realized the handsome aggregate of 07,440. an average of nearly 2,000. W. Clarke gave 0,500 for the filly Laelia; Sir Robert .Tardine 9,000 for the filly Pusiila: II. J. Bailey .000 for the filly Lady of Grace: Sir Ernest Cassel 7,500 for the colt Perphyrio; Robert Mills 7,500 for the colt Romeo; Sir Robert Jardine .250 for the filly by St. Serf Sprig of Heather, with engagements, and Harry Payne Whitney gave 3.-300 for a colt by Persimmon Dame dOr. Pusiila, the star of the sale, is a bay filly by Gallinulc Concertina. She is engaged in ten stakes of the value of 35,000 to be run in England in 1910. The engagements of the colt purchased by Harry Payne Whitney are similar in number and character.
