POINT RAISED OVER HART-AGNEW LAW. Albany. N. Y., July 3. Contending that the anti-race track gambling law does not provide a punishment for corporations convicted of violating its provisions, John A. Delehanty, ex-corporation counsel of Albany, attorney for the Eastern and Municipal Telegraph Company, recently indicted for poolselling by the grand jury of Albany County, has asked Judge Addington to suspend sentence. Mr. Delehanty entered a plea of guilty for his clients. A violation of the new law is a misdemeanor, punishable only by imprisonment. Mr. Delehanty argued that a corporation cannot be imprisoned. District Attorney Sanford contended that a fine could bo imposed. The judge took the matter under consideration.
