GOVERNOR PROCEEDS AGAINST POOLROOM. Indianapolis, Ind.. July 3. Governor Marshall has written to the Cumberland Telegraph and Telephone Company to discontinue its service to the ball park at Clayburg. just outside the city limits of .leffer-sonville. where poolselling is said to be going on, based upon telephone reports from the race tracks of the country. In his letter to the telegraph and telephone company Governor Marchall stated that unless the service was discontinued at once the company would be prosecuted for conniving at a violation of the state laws against gambling.
