Lady Bedford, well up for five furlongs, dropped out midway of the stretch. Live Wire, away badly, improved iiis position leisurely under a bad ride. Sententious was outclassed. Galley Slave set the pace to midway of the stretch and tired right at the end. Blundara, prominent in the early running, ran wide on the turn and quit finally, having a sore mouth. Flying Footsteps was gaining fast on the side. May Florence was outpaced and surrounded and Impeded frequently and never; had clear sailing. Inspired ran in close contention for a half mile.
