Alicis was second and Radiant Star third. Among the eleven starters was II. P. Whitneys Cynthia Bright. E. Kennedys Dark Ronald won the 0,000 Princess of Wales Stakes at Newmarket, with the Duke of Portlands Primer second and J. B. Joels Your Majesty, last years champion, third. The betting was 9 to 1 against Dark Ronald. 25 to 1 against Primer and S to 11 against Your Majesty.
