S ® Clyde Van Dusen, Kentucky Derby Winner, Is at Washington Park s $ HOMEWOOD. 111., June 3.— H. P. Gardners Kentucky Derby winner, Clyde Van Dusen, was an arrival Sunday, with other horses of the same owner from Churchill Downs and was of considerable interest to a large and critical gallery of owners at Washington Park. The son of Man o War, which splashed to an easy victory in this years great Churchill Downs fixture, shipped here in excellent fashion and was moved to his quarters without mishap. He will be given steady training and probably a preliminary race before his start in the American Derby, in which he will again meet Blue Larkspur and other crack three-year-olds. There is considerable interest in the return meeting of the Bradley crack and the Gardner star. The score stands, at present, one victory for each. Blue Larkspur having triumphed over Clyde Van Dusen at Lexington and the latter reversing the verdict at Louisville. Minotaur, which has figured considerably in the three-year-olds racing this season, was a newcomer at Washington Park. He returned from St. Louis, where he finished in third place in the running of the Fairmount Derby, which witnessed Karl Eitels success. The latter is due at Washington Park shortly and, like Clyde Van Dusen and Minotaur, will probably start in the 0,000 American Derby on Saturday, June 15. Naishapur, which suffered defeat in the Fairmount Derby, is still at the Collinsville track, but will be here in a few days, ready to redeem his poor showing in the Fairmount Derby.
