PLATERS DAY AT OMAHA Program Made Up of Races for Cheaper Grade of Horses — Track Deep in Mud. OMAHA, Neb., June 3. — An all-claiming card with no outstanding feature wras presented by the Ak-Sar-Ben management this afternoon and, although the track was deep in mud, good racing resulted. Overhead conditions w 5re ideal, the day being quite seasonable. Large fields went to the post in the first four races while good sized fields started in the other races. The attendance was good. Weathervane and Fourteen Sixty were the respective winners of the third and fourth races and both scored easily. This pair showed a liking for the muddy going and paid liberal odds. Admiral Seth, one of the Jones crop of two-year-olds, and ridden by the novice jockey, De Perini, accounted for the opening race when she defeated a large band of youngsters by a narrow margin. Bruin set the pace but could not withstand the rush of the winner and was second, while Ruth C, after meeting with much interference, was third. Those who wagered on the six outside horses in the field of twelve that went to the post in the second race, suffered a shock when the barrier on the outside section of the starting machine refused to function and only the inside six of the field of twelve got away. The race was won by Clear Star, from the barn of E. McCown, which defeated Emma Hoagland in a driving finish. Master Rock was a close-up third. The winner paid long odds. *
