« JWASHINGTON PARK NOTESi e — ® HOMEWOOD, 111., June 3. Jockey K. Watson was an addition to the riding colony at Washington Park. The George Collins and Ed Haughton stable, campaigning at Fairmount Park, is endeavoring to secure stable room at Washington Park for nineteen horses. It is likely that this establishment will be taken care of with quarters at the Homewood course. J. B. Partridge, trainer and part owner of the Valley Lake Stable, came in from Churchill Downs and was at Washington Park Saturday. Nine of the Valley Lake Stable racers, which were in training at Churchill Downs, came in from Louisville, joining the Washington Park division of the stable, which has been in charge of B. A. Jones. George Schilling, who serves as an official at various western tracks, was among the visitors and did some missionary work on behalf of the Winnipeg and Butte race tracks. He was accompanied by Charles F. Roe, assistant manager of the Butte and Winnipeg tracks. They both were to leave for Fair-mount Park tonight to continue their mis-mionary work among the owners there. Jockeys R. Jones and R. DePrema, who rode Karl Eitel and Minotaur respectively in the Fairmount Derby, returned to Washington Park and had mounts during thel afternoon. j
