I BELMONT TURF NOTES T $ . 4 NEW YORK, N. T., June 4. Jockey R. Workman returned from his home, Washington, D. C, today and will resume riding in a few days. He was kicked on the leg while going to the post by Atlantis ten days ago. W. Howard has taken over the engagement book of jockey J. Burke. Jockey G. Fields resumed riding today. He suffered a badly bruised foot in the Withers Stakes Decoration Day. Claims in the first race today were Perrina for ,000 by J. A. Coburn, while W. A. Rosen claimed Hensie for ,000. E. J. Downing and the Hammerslag Brothers, Edward and Royal, sail on the Beren-garia to witness the running of the Gold Cup and other events at Royal Ascot, after which they will proceed to France for the French Classic renewals. Mr. Downing intends purchasing several horses to strengthen the local stable, which Dick Miller has in training for him at Aqueduct.
