MALIGNED, easily best and showing speed from the start, drew away fast after reaching the turn and tired, but was only mildly shaken up in the final sixteenth. ROSA W., close up throughout, saved ground and closed gamely. CAPTAIN T., in close quarters on the first turn, improved his position in the last five-sixteenths, but could not get up. RED VEST raced wide and showed a fair performance. ELKHART raced evenly. ESCOBA LAND dropped out of it, but closed gamely. UPSET ANN was outrun. PAN ARENA had early speed. JUGBAND partiallv wheeled at the start and was left. CAMP PRINCE tired in the stretch. HOPEFIELD had no mishaps. CHENE began slowly and moved up after reaching the stretch, only to tire in the last eighth. DARK DAWN showed early speed. LAURA NEGLEY lost ground to the stretch, was blocked in the last quarter and showed a good performance. COUSIN DOLL began slowly. CL1PSETTA was shut off on the turn. DELCO DEL quit. UFORME was done after showing speed for five eighths. MISS CHILLA ran out on the turn. SWEET JOE showed speed, but tired badly after the last quarter. DICK PORTER, taken back repeatedly, was cut off in the stretch. DERBY T. showed early speed. CORAL BEACH, shuffled back on the last turn, challenged in the stretch. RESPOND began slowly. PADONA showed speed to the stretch. STAR PLAY quit badly after three-quarters. ROYAL MANAGER raced wide.
