STATUS OF FAIRMOUNT PARK CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 19.— When interviewed regarding the Fairmount Park situation at St. Louis, Joseph Cattarinich of the Fairmount Park Jockey Club stated this afternoon: "We had no intention at any time of running a spring meeting at the Collinsville course, nor will we consider reopening Fairmount Park until such time as our request has been acted upon by the senate at Springfield, 111., now in session. "We have made a request for a reduction of the daily license fee from ,500 daily to ,500. R. S. Eddy of the Fairmount Jockey Club is now at Springfield, having left here last night for that point, and I have nothing more to say about the situation until I hear from Mr. Eddy."
