COUSIN JOS ROYAL CHANCE Kentucky Oaks Winner to Meet Best of Sex in Arlingtons Matron Handicap. The second Matron, Arlingtons handicap of one mile for three-year-olds and over, fillies and mares, will offer Cousin Jo. which has just won a Kentucky Oaks; Dark Magnet, which a little earlier in the month scored in a revival of the Oaks at Pimlico; also the fillies that are destined to win renewals at Belmont Park of the Coaching Club American Oaks, at Washington Park of the Illinois Oaks, at Latonia of the La-tonia Oaks and, at Aqueduct, of the Gazelle Stakes, a chance to try their luck against the countrys best mares, four years old and upward, and for a stake well worth while. The added money will be 0,000. Eighty nominations have paid ,000, and ten starters would put up an additional ,500, which would assure a prize of 4,500. If there are more than ten participants, each additional starter would pay 50. Valenciennes then three beat eleven in the Matron Inaugural August 2, last. There are more good mares available this season than there were last. Valenciennes, which belongs to the Hertz Stable and is in the East now, is another eligible. So is Her Grace, which licked her for 6,550, along with Conclave, Ned O., Porphyry, Spinach, Starpatic.
