t TH0RNCLIFFE TURF NOTES 4 — — $ TORONTO, Ont., May 19. W. G. Campbell received an addition to his stable in two two-year-olds that he purchased from Joe Patterson in Kentucky. They reached Thorncliffe this morning, and made the trip from Lexington in good shape. One is Singing Kid. H. C. Hatch is campaigning one of the largest stables in Canada this year. He has fifteen horses at Thorncliffe, fifteen at Hamilton and two, Boys Howdy and San Pas, in Kentucky. Jack Whyte, the Canadian trainer, ha9 been complimented on the wonderful appearance of the band of racers he is handling for Willis Sharpe Kilmer, one of Americas prominent breeders and sportsmen. He has fourteen at Thorncliffe and nine of them are two-year-olds. Whyte obtained the contract on jockey C. Phillips, one of the cleverest of the jockeys riding on the Canadian circuit. The Kilmer horses will be seen in action at Woodbine and also at Blue Bonnets. Jockey G. Horn was an arrival from Ohio. T. J. Doyle got in from Maryland with his horses. John Turner distributed the condition books and blanks for the stakes to be run at the Montreal Jockey Clubs meeting at Blue Bonnets. Frankie Mann, the clever lad under contract to the Mount Royal Stable, made his first solo flight Saturday. He was accompanied to the flying field by Marshall Cas-sidy, who has acted as an instructor to the lad. Mann made a very successful flight, and promises to develop into a first class aviator. A. Gaither, an apprentice under contract to H. G. Bedwell, made his first appearance in the colors of the Maryland breeder Saturday afternoon. Table Talk, winner of the third race Saturday, was bred to Judge Fuller a couple of weeks ago and is believed to be safely in foal. C. L. Whiting, the New York breeder, is here taking in the sport at Thorncliffe.
