f BELMONT PARK TURF NOTES f « i NEW YORK, N. Y., May 19. Ral Parr arrived from Baltimore to witness his Dunlins Lad run in the Shoreham Purse. James Butlers Avaricious developed a slight fever and was excused from starting by the stewards. Frisius, Faireno and Peto will be included in the shipment trainer Fitzsimmons will ship to Woodbine in charge of George Tappan. William Dupont, Jr., was a visitor at the course yesterday. He inspected the horses that he has here in charge of P. M. Burch and Carlton Utz and later left for his home. Trainer Elmer Trueman stated that F. Spatolos Wise Count, which rapped himself in the running of the Aberdeen Stakes, is improving rapidly. Wise Count showed up well in early Maryland racing. C. Koerner has turned out Jillion and Sun Pleasure at Russells Syosset, Long Island, farm for the summer. Jockey Guerra arrived and reported to the H. T. Archibald stable, for which he will ride.
