■ REPORT ON EQUIPOISE NEW YORK, N. Y., May 19— Trainer Fred Hopkins stated that the quarter crack suffered by Equipoise was not as severe as first thought. The injury is toward the heel but clear of the frog. The hoof was cut away Monday and the horse will be out from six to eight weeks.
