THE PADRE moved up fast on the outside of the others in the first quarter and, shaking off AUTUMN BLOOM while rounding the stretch turn, held the race safe thereafter. TOP CLOUD, never far back, improved his position after rounding the far turn and outstayed the others. SLN DANCE saved ground most of the way and outlasted AUTUMN BLOOM. The latter showed early speed, then tired. WIDELY KNOWN closed -ground after starting slowlv. MAC MAXIM tired. BRINKLEY did not run his race. STARS AND STRIPES came with a rush in the last quarter on the outside. NOT GUILTY tired. HULA raced in close quarters throughout. CHORISTER and MELMOR tired badly in the last quarter. CYRANO was crowded back on the far turn and quit badly in the stretch. COLD WAVE moved up fast on the stretch turn and finished strongly. COTTON TIME also finished fast. SILENT VOTE closed ground in the stretch. RADIAL tired. BABY BANE began slowlv and could not cet up.
