I WASHINGTON PARK NOTES I $ and HOMEWOOD, 111., June 2. The two-year-old La Compere and the older Charleigh, Black Belt and Please were the four horses J. W. May brought West for racing at Washington Park. They are quartered at Lincoln Fields. The saddle work of apprentice M. Lewis has impressed many horsemen and Drillon and Buckland, who have the contract on the youngster, have refused two offers on this youngster. W. Crump, acting for J. W. Par-rjsh, made an offer for the contract Tues- day.
