* | CONNAUGHT PARK NOTES § _ § J. Jones, who quit riding two years ago to try his hand at training for O. F. Woodward, has decided to stage a comeback and will make his return during the present meeting. T. Finn was an arrivel from New York with a band of racers that he will race for Phil Chinn, former master of Himyar Stud. Jockey R. Duggan has severed his relations with the stable of A. L. Wynston, Jr., and will ride during the present meeting as a freelance. Johnny Hines, who is assisting J. Boden with a large public stable, will have char.t of the division of racers that are quartered here, J. Boden being forced to remain in Toronto to attend the Long Branch meeting. W. Walsh brought up a division of racers that he will handle for Kenneth T. Dawes, president of th Montreal Jockey Club, part owner of the Mount Royal Stable. A. Smitha, who has raced on the Ohio and Kentucky circuits ever since entering into racing, made his first pilgrimage into Canada by shipping his entire band of racers to Connaught Park. | J. S. Healy wired secretary T. P. Gorman to furnish him with five additional stalls ;for the racers of Richard Whitney that were scheduled to leave Belmont Park to augment his band now sheltered here.
